Paul Chapman
Dave Barker - www.climbingcalls.co.uk is a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and holds the Mountain Instructor Certificate. He has eighteen years climbing and mountaineering experience, in both summer and winter, throughout the UK and in Europe, Australia, Africa, Peru and the Himalayas. He has worked in the outdoors for all his working life, instructing a wide range of groups and individuals at a variety of levels and across a wide spectrum of activities, including climbing and mountaineering. He has worked at a number of LEA outdoor centres, as well as for a number of smaller providers of high quality outdoor instruction.
Olly Sanders - www.rockandseaadventures.co.uk A B.C.U. Level 5 Sea Coach and A.C.A. Advanced Open Water Instructor, Olly has been playing on the Snowdonia and Anglesey coastline for 20 years. His qualifications also extend to the climbing arena where he holds a Mountain Instructor Certificate (M.I.C.), the highest instructor qualification in the UK, as well as being a nominee for the Piolet D’Or in 2004 - mountaineering’s most prestigious International award - for first ascents in Alaska. He has had many successes, and a few failures, in India, Nepal, Patagonia and Peru, many of which involved the odd prussik and a bit of honest hauling!.
John Geeson - www.beyondtheedge.co.uk John has been involved in outdoor pursuits for the past 20 years. He is both a mountaineering and caving instructor, having participated in these activities around the world. John is also qualified in canoeing & kayaking and is a member of the Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation.
Jenny Harding - www.beyondtheedge.co.uk Jenny is highly qualified canoe and kayak coach with 13 years of experience of paddling in both the UK and Europe. She is not only happy on water but also up a rock face, down a cave or in the hills. Jenny loves the outdoors and enjoys sharing this passion with others.
Pete Cunningham - www.adventurelearning.co.uk Adventure Learning First Aid Training provides a range of progressive first aid courses certificated by Active Aid Ltd. The emphasis of our first aid courses is practically based training which will provide knowledge and confidence. These first aid courses will not turn you into a medical encyclopedia but they will give you the strategies you need to manage properly in an emergency. All our first aid training is interactive, purposeful and delivered in context. It gives people real first aid skills that they can walk away with and apply if ever the situation demands.
Leo Hoare - www.getafix.com Leo got his addiction for paddling when he was nine and in those early years he raced and trained all over the world, achieved a forth place in the junior worlds, a place in the squad for the Barcelona Olympics and many wins at junior internationals. The seed had been planted to see and experience other places and cultures at an early age and discovering the open canoe and sea kayak has allowed him to go on some amazing adventures. Leo has contributed chapters to the BCU Canoe Kayak Handbook and the BCU Coaching Handbook, been involved with the development of the new UKCC coaching awards and co-directed and produced the DVD Sea Kayak Safety with paddling partner Olly Sanders.
