First Aid

If you participate in adventurous activities like canoeing and climbing, you owe it to your friends to have knowledge and practical experience of first aid.

This 2 day course will cover:
Principles of first aid, vital signs, accident procedure, safe airway position, casualty examination, emergency services, bleeding, shock, breathing difficulties, choking, CPR, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes, heart conditions, fractures, dislocations, soft tissue damage, head injuries, eye injuries, cold + hot injuries, poisoning, first aid kits, casualty handling + care, accident cards and triage

All subjects will be taught with the focus on wilderness, as opposed to urban, situations.

We won’t make you a paramedic, but you will have the confidence to act quickly and effectively in the event of an accident or illness.

In addition a 3 day course is also available with a greater emphasis on the paddling environment.

Residential and non residential courses available.
