DESCRIPTION:
Rock and Sea Adventures has teamed up with a local operator to run this series of 7 day Sea Kayak workshops during September 2008. Sardinia, with its fantastic coastal scenery and spectacular islands, is a relatively untapped area as far as Sea Kayaking is concerned, and island hopping to isolated beaches and sea caves, each with a stunning backdrop of impressive cliffs, beckon the adventurous paddler in this Mediterranean paradise.
NOTES:
These 7 day workshops will be held near Olbia, on the eastern side of the island, where the coastline is spectacular. Easy access to transportation means that we can make the best use of the weather conditions.
However, the course will still be weather-dependent. We aim to do day trips with one extended overnight trip during the week but there will also be evening sessions when we are land-based in our 3-star self-catering apartments.
The months of September and October are quieter, but the weather is still warm and the sea temperature comfortable. All our courses are staffed by coaches with the highest national qualifications and committed enthusiasts in their own right. Where possible, the courses will be directed by Olly Sanders, a Level 5 Coach and former Senior Instructor at Plas -Y-Brenin for 10 years.
BOAT HIRE:
Boats and equipment can be hired throughout the year from our local outfitters near Olbia. The company has good local knowledge & can provide a variety of options including accommodation, pick ups, drop offs and back up. Please check out www.locationsardinia.com
